Privacy Policy for CryoNOC

Cryo Sleep Studios ("we", "us", or "our") built the CryoNOC macOS application to be a secure, locally-hosted utility. We believe your network infrastructure, webhooks, and API keys are your business, not ours.

This Privacy Policy is extremely simple because we do not collect, store, track, or transmit any of your personal data.

1. Local Data Storage

All configurations entered into CryoNOC are stored strictly locally on your Mac's hard drive. This includes:

  • Target URLs and domain names

  • Slack and Discord Webhook URLs

  • Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) API keys and target email addresses

  • Application event logs and uptime history

We do not maintain any servers to sync, back up, or view your configurations. If you delete the app and its local application data, your configurations are permanently removed from your machine.

2. Network Activity & Third-Party APIs

CryoNOC requires an active internet connection to function, but it communicates directly from your Mac to the services you configure. Your traffic is never routed through or monitored by Cryo Sleep Studios.

  • Uptime Monitoring: The app makes standard HTTP/HTTPS GET requests directly to your specified URLs.

  • Webhook Alerts: Uptime and downtime alerts are pushed directly to the Slack or Discord URLs you provide.

  • SSL Verification: To check certificate expiry, the app makes requests to the public networkcalc.com API.

  • Breach Monitoring: To check for compromised credentials, the app communicates directly with the haveibeenpwned.com API.

Your use of these external integrations is governed by the respective privacy policies of Slack, Discord, NetworkCalc, and Have I Been Pwned.

3. Analytics and Tracking

CryoNOC contains absolutely no third-party analytics, crash reporting software, or user tracking code. We cannot see how often you use the app, what sites you monitor, or when your servers go down.

4. Changes to this Policy

If we add new features in the future that change how data is handled (for example, introducing an optional cloud-sync feature), we will update this policy and notify users within the app.
